What you cannot download
Stories are the most time-limited content on Instagram, and a few cases are simply out of reach:
- Stories older than 24 hours. The link expires by Instagram's own design, and nothing can retrieve it afterwards.
- Stories from private accounts. They are visible only to approved followers, and we do not try to bypass that.

Troubleshooting common issues
JazzGhost never asks for your Instagram login and never uses your account. The story is fetched by our server, so your name does not appear in the story's viewer list.
Only public accounts work. If an account is private, its stories stay private — we do not try to get around that.

Can the poster see that I downloaded?
JazzGhost does not use your Instagram account to view the story. Saving is processed on our side from the public link.
Will the person know I saved their Story?
We never use your Instagram account, so your name does not appear in their viewer list. The download happens on our server, not from your profile.
Why can't I see older Stories?
Stories expire after 24 hours by design. If the account saved one into a Highlight, it is still available — use the Instagram Highlights Downloader for that.
Are Stories saved with music and sound?
Yes. A video story is saved as an MP4 with its original audio track, so music and voice-overs come with the file.
What quality are downloaded Stories?
You get the highest resolution Instagram serves for that story, usually 1080×1920 for a full-screen story. No watermark is added.
Can I download Stories from a private account?
